Fleur De Sel is known as the "caviar of salts" and is truly the best of all sea salts. The young salt crystals form on the top layer of the salt ponds and are harvested by barely skimming the surface. The hand harvesting is done under specific weather conditions by traditional salt farmers knows as "paludiers". True Fleur De Sel can only originate from the Guerande region of France.
Our Fleur De Sel has a delicate but rich and sweet flavor that melts as it touches your tongue. It has the highest mineral content and is naturally low in sodium. It is great in any application but I would suggest that you use it in simpler dishes in order to enjoy the full character of the Sea Salt.
